Site-specific installation: lace textiles, multichannel sound
Die Pforte / Prater Galerie, Berlin
Curated by Zhijian Lyu
Spitzen Rauschen is a site-specific textile and multichannel sound installation developed for Die Pforte in Berlin’s Ernst-Thälmann-Park.
Reused lace curtains are sampled, cut and recomposed into images that interweave the site’s past and present. As filters for light, sound and vision, the curtains become porous thresholds between domestic and public space, inside and outside.
The sound installation follows the same sampling process, combining field recordings and conversations with residents with historical radio broadcasts. Past and present overlap, bringing the political promises embedded in the neighbourhood’s history into contact with its contemporary realities.

Lecture-performance and sound walk for Spitzen Rauschen, Die Pforte / Prater Galerie, Berlin, 2026.
